Privacy Policy
This policy explains what bandz collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We try to keep it short and honest.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Profile content: everything you add to your page: display name, bio, links, badges, and any images, audio, or backgrounds you upload.
- View counts: when a page is viewed we briefly use the visitor's IP address to avoid counting the same person twice within a short window. We don't build visitor profiles from it.
- Authentication cookie: a single signed cookie that keeps you logged in.
2. How we use it
We use this data only to run bandz: to create and display your page, count views, keep you signed in, and enforce our Terms & Rules. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
3. Cookies
bandz uses one essential cookie: your login session token. It's HTTP-only and used purely to authenticate you. We don't use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
4. Who can see your data
Your profile content is public by design, so anything on your page can be seen by anyone with the link. Your email and password hash are private and never shown publicly. Data is stored with our hosting and database provider, which processes it only to provide the Service.
5. Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by contacting support@bandz.rip. Some records may be retained where required by law or to prevent abuse and ban evasion.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions are signed, and access is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and let us know if you spot a problem.
7. Changes
We may update this policy at any time and without prior notice. When we do, we'll update the date above; continuing to use bandz means you accept the current policy.
